Behavior:
DocuWare Setup does not recognize Windows Authentification.
Solution:
The Windows Authentication role service for IIS is only available in Windows 7 Professional (and later) and Windows 8 Pro (and later). It is therefore not possible to install the Web Client settings on other Windows7/8 editions.
Although the Windows Authentication component is installed, it may happen that the check fails during DocuWare 6 Setup and it is detected as not installed. In this case, the only current option is to install the Web Client settings "silent". Perform the following steps:
- Download the zip archive
- Unzip and copy the two files into the DocuWare 6 setup path.
- Adjust the following values in the SilentServerSetup.bat file to suit your system:
DWSetupPathLocal=C:\DocuWare6\DocuWare and Modules
Path to DocuWare 6 Setup
DWSysAdmin=admin
Username of the DocuWare system administrator
DWSysAdminPassword=admin
User Password of the DocuWare system administrator
- In the DocuWare.Setup.xml file, adjust the following values to suit your system:
BaseInstallPath= e.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\DocuWare"
Program path of the server components
Server="THPVMWIN2K8R2"
Server name on which the DocuWare servers are installed
ASHostName="THPVMWIN2K8R2"
Server name on which the DocuWare Authentication Server is installed
OrganizationName="Peters Engineering"
Name of the organization
- Start SilentServerSetup.bat as adminstrator
