Submitted as bug #208816?
I think this may have been submitted as bug #208816 (refer to my SR #278616, button to "Change index entries for all documents" does not change all docs)

check AIX for errors
In the right-click context menu, select "Start/Stop Workflows" to check your AIX jobs for errors. Is the AIX job you're trying to delete in an error state? If so, you need to kick it out of the error state. Try starting it. Did the DW user configured the run the AIX job have a password change? Once you interact with it, it should shake the cobwebs so you can edit or delete it.

RE: Mandatory index fields.
If you can't develop a field level validation for this, then do what Phil says. If you really don't want those placeholder values in the file cabinet index fields after the storage event, then use Workflow Mgr to clean it up or use AutoIndex (DW7).

RE: User Accessing DW FileCabinet
If you didn't already create pre-defined file cabinet index fields for DWSTOREDATETIME, DWSTOREUSER, etc, then use the database if it's an on-premises system. For DW Cloud, create them now and fill them with AutoIndex.
For DWLASTACCESSDATETIME and DWLASTACCESSUSER it's obviously a little trickier, because in order to get anything other than the last access you'll need the logging.

RE: Pages not a system field
Joe, we're already doing it in the file cabinet, but this begets the whole "copy to tray, do work, store (again), and delete original" thing. In any case, despite not being a system field stored at the document header level, DW still knows what the value is.

Sort by total pages.
Correct, Phil. It is a customer request. This customer is scanning 500-700 documents per day to intellix trays and storing to the file cabinet automatically. Each record is supposed to have an exact number of pages. It's much simpler to rescan/unstaple/staple etc. while docs are still in the tray instead of when of when they've been discovered in the file cabinet. The ability to sort by total pages in the tray would make this very easy (and quick) to identify.
If it's not an oversight, then I should deduce that it's by design. It's an interesting omission considering that it's the only attribute by which tray docs are not able to be sorted. It looks like it's already been submitted as a feature request and added to the backlog.

Sort by Total Pages in Tray
Tray docs may be sorted by all fields except Total Pages. Does anybody have an idea what gives?

RE: If you are using workflow
Casey, do you have the URL for this feature request? I will vote for it.

Signing documents within DocuWare web client
Location: Texas
Legal value: signature biometrics are not necessary
This customer is simply looking for a signature capture device. DocuWare suggests that a standard graphics tablet can be used, but the customer is looking for something more professional looking than a graphics tablet. The challenge is that many signature pads such as Topaz's systems are not compatible.

Re: Parse Subject Line using Connect to Outlook??
I'm doing this for a DocuWare Cloud customer using workflow manager. I use C2O to capture the email subject line and workflow manager to parse it into the appropriate index fields.
