Separate file cabinets for Customers and Suppliers?

What are best praxis to manage customers and suppliers - should we create two separate file cabinets?

I personally prefer one file cabinet with repective fields, e.g. like "Supplier No." and "Supplier Name" (maybe also "Supplier Name 2") as well as "Customer No." and "Customer Name" (and maybe "Customer Name 2").
Having single fields in one file cabinet is easier to configure and easier to use in my opinion.
