In fact we are looking for some exemples on how to get more information on

The subject is to find a way to call DW SDK to be able to find a task instance and to be able to make a decision by progrram and not by user interface.

Any help would be appreciated.

HI,

Other idea, you write a Powershell script to get the file name, split it in two values which are used to generate a .dwcontrol file.

Then you just have to push orginal file + dwcontrol file in a folder used by a DW Deskstop Import task

If the volume is high, the other idea is to write a program using DW SDK, that's more efficient and easier to monitor in case of error during upload.

Oups, now I understand, you were talking about the job to restore indexes, sorry for the wrong answer

Although the need to get an export/import functionality for workflows (from Workflow Manager) still exists :-)

is pure marketing stuff, i.e generic and depends upon the country and the way DW is integrated by whom.

For France I can tell you we did SAGE i7, X3 and 3000 (looks like it is specific for English market)

As written above, you need to know exactly what product line you are talking about.

Everything is called Sage something, but each line comes from various origin as Sage has bought a bunch of software houses.

Then you need to ask yourself what integration you want, sharing a data model ? adding some automatic export ? exchanging data using webservices ? Adding a tool so you can do real accounts and analytics splitting (not the tool from DW). We do all of that with inhouse developments using DW SDK.

I do not know what is a "restore workflow"

From my knowledge there is no way (unless "playing" at the database level) to restore a workflow.

This is a constant request to get an export/import functionality. Hopefully available someday.

For sure still not available in DW 7

Thanks for the update, it is much better :-) 

Yes I know that it is possible to open a document using the edit function. My question was related to view (as a reader) a document with an external viewer without having to edit (which is for instance not possible with RO licence).

I know it was possible with the old DW windows client. Such functionnalty would be more than helpful when a cutomer wants to view (only read) a document such as complex Autocad or SOlidWorks or other technical tool.

Your first link provide more or less a general realtime information

The second link provide information on some major breakdowns or information on planned maintenance.

I am still looking for a real and complete dashboard with history and containing all problems (major and minor)  per organization.
