My thoughts exactly. I will submit a feature request but in my mind this is a bug or oversight and should be implemented.

  • Invalid Passphrase

We are receving this error when trying do a query on a field called EMPLOYEE. I convert the query data to base64 and also the login data to base 64 and then encrypt that using AES-128-CBC.  I get the error listed below.

  • Edit Index Entries on Multi-Cabinet Search (6.11)

what is the reason you cannot edit and index entry when doing a multi cabinet search? Seems kind of a waste of time to use the feature if you can't search across cabinets then edit an index. you have to search over then edit the index.

  • From what I am told you also

From what I am told you also can't just run the updater. I haven't seen any documentation on even how to upgrade yet. I know you need to uninistall content and workflow engine servers..This is out of the Technical Changes DocuWare 7 Document

    Supported updates

    Only for DocuWare On-Premises

The update to DocuWare version 7 is supported from DocuWare Version 6.7 or later.

  • Just create a field and call

Just create a field and call it say "Visible" Then the documents you want  only that person to see add them to that filter profile. you can create a FC profile called visible and then not visible. You can also hide the field in certain dialogs so it looks like it isn't there.

  • Working with ABBYY for a

Working with ABBYY for a while now and after a lot of testing the Consolas font was the most effective and accurate. It is a monospaced unambiguous font that was designed to be machine-readable but easy to read with the human eye. A more common free font that is close to this is Calibri.

  • I like to use Sans Serif. You

I like to use Sans Serif. You don't have any end strokes on the letters. Sometimes this can confuse the engin into thinking an I is a 1 or so forth. but honestly, if you have any kind of mixed variables (letter/number) then the DW OCR engine is not going to get it right. Example PO12345. 90% of the time it will read P01234. It's maddening and haven't figured out how to ever correct it.
