    Why do all these links in the forums lead back to the DocuWare home page? What's the point of having a forum like this if the links to the results don't work?

    I just read something similar to this in a different post. It may have been you replying to that one too. We have quite a few 'Assign Data' activities throughout the workflows but this does make sense and has worked exactly how I need it. Thanks!
  • Push Workflow Errors to a Task

    A client of ours is using a couple invoice processing workflows that work off of each other. Using a cloud system, when a workflow errors, it goes to the admin account automatically. The only options for the admin are to retry task, continue with activity, or stop workflow. Retry activity just pushes the document through the same workflow, pushing it to error our for the same reason as before. I'm wondering if there is a way for the errors to go to a specific user (the admin account works), but with the ability to send the document back to the beginning of the process. Ideally, when a document errors, the admin could hit, "resubmit invoice", which would change the status to 'submitted' , which would trigger the first workflow again. But that currently isn't an option. So does anybody have an ideas on how this could be accomplished?

    I have a client that has a lengthy invoice processing process with a few different workflows working off of each other. What they would like to be able to do is at the end of every month when they are reconciling, to view a report of all invoices processed within that month and a summary of who approved what and when. The date range is not an issue, but creating something visually for them to review that includes a summary like that is stumping me. Has anybody done anything similar to this?

  • Checking for specific words in a variable

    I have assigned a short description to a text variable. I would like to know if it is possible, presumably with a condition activity, to check if a string of text contains a specific word, like Approval or Rejection. For example if a variable reads, "Approval Letter for ABC Company...". The company name will be different every time obviously. So I just want to check if the first word in that string is Approval and update a status based on that. If anybody has a better way to achieve this, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

    The first scenario is what I am/was trying to accomplish. 2 or 3 different files would be stored, each file type moving through it's own workflow, and then being combined into one document when each individual file has moved through it's workflow.

  • Combining Document Types in Workflows

    Is it possible to have various different doc types in one file cabinet combined in a workflow? For example, a web form gets filled out and merged onto two separate doc types. A workflow watches for these doc types, and based on a condition or a status, combines the various doc types into one "packet" and stored into another doc type.
