Get TextShot using .Net API

Does anyone know how to get the textshot of a document using the .Net API? I have been able to get the textshot relation link, but nothing else closer than that. I tried the rest API and it looks like I could get there eventually, but it would be a lot more work than what I already have with the .Net side. I want to be able to search the textshot for a date to verify if there is a missing report in a file cabinet.
