I plan to create a file cabinet based on an external database, essentially migrating the whole data from a database "view". What are some approaches we can do? I read in the DocuWare feature list that this is included in DocuWare Autoindex - "Create a record in DocuWare if no document can be found for an external record" under DocuWare Autoindex. I've searched the Autoindex module within the system but I can't seem to find it. This is explicitly creating a data record instead of populating existing records/documents within DocuWare. 

We're using the latest DocuWare Cloud, which is 7.2

Hi Kim,

Autoindex can create data records in DocuWare using the external database.
As this is a Cloud system you either need to export your database to an csv-file or use the Local Data Connector to access the database directly.
Then you need to configure Autoindex, the magic happens on the tab "Match data":

  • Set "Processing list" to "based on data source"
  • Set "No matches" to "Add a new data record ..."
