We are looking to use Power BI to create a reporting tool for DocuWare.

Is anyone in the forum aware of an existing Power BI <> DocuWare connector already developed?

Thank you in advance.

I don't use Power BI, but I have found Metabase (metabase.com).

That's a very powerful BI tool. I use the REST API to extract the datas I need and store them in a sqlite database with a python script.

Metabase read this database and display my Dashboard.

Depending on the Database Type you use for DocuWare you could directly access the dwdata-database via ODBC or Microsofts bulit-in Database Connector within PowerBI and create your reports using that data. You'd need to select every file cabinet without the underscore suffix.

Power BI supports just about every data source under the sun, though of course that will only work if you have DocuWare installed in-premise. If you are attempting to access cloud data, then the Platform Service route may be your only play.

Thanks,
