Answer:
By product design, the scan component of the DocuWare Desktop Apps anticipates an uncompressed image for image processing. This image will then be compressed before it is embedded into the final PDF.
The compression algorithm in the DocuWare Desktop Apps will ensure that the image is compatible with the PDF standard. As a result, an external pre-compression may produce issues, and it is advised to disable any function that may compress incoming documents.
