Behavior:
Under certain circumstances it can happen that the DocuWare Printer does not work in combination with Microsoft Office Outlook.

Solution:
Close Outlook and reinstall the DocuWare Printer driver manually.

As a quick alternative you can use the function "Quick Print" in the context menu of an e-mail in Outlook. With this function it should work to print on the DocuWare Printer (as default printer) without problems.

If it is still not working, after you've reinstalled the printer driver, please proceed as follows:

Note: The following arrangements should not be made on a terminal server!

  1. Close Outlook
  2. Open the windows registry editor
    WIN + R > regedit
  3. Navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\DocuWarePrinter\PrinterDriverData\Connector
  4. Change the value data of Type to 4.
  5. Restart the "Print Spooler" service via the windows service management (services.msc)

Should this not help at all, please try the alternative DocuWare Printer PS. This version has the same range of functions but is based on a different technology.
