Scenario:
A self-signed certificate was installed on the main system to comply with DocuWare 7.6 requirements. The DocuWare site can now be reached via HTTPS on the server, but when end users attempt to connect/download Desktop apps, the following errors are shown;

"Your connection to this site isn't secure"
"There was a problem starting DocuWare Client Setup..."
Solution:
This behavior has occurred because the SSL certification is self-signed. Therefore, the certification that was installed on the main server must also be installed on ALL end-user systems that utilize DocuWare.

To avoid installing the certification on every system, you will need to obtain an SSL certification signed by a publicly trusted certificate authority. DocuWare does not provide these SSL certifications, which must be obtained by a third party.
