Hello Community,

I have another customer who works with invoices in their workflow.
These invoices have a table field for cost center, gross amount, tax rate etc.
I need to do some string operations for all entries of some specific columns, e.g. column cost center is filled with entries like "1234 - Cost Center A" and I need to split this to only get the number - "1234".
What would be the best way to do this? I seem to be able to get the values from the columns as keyword fields and can even write them to a char separated string, but I can not write this modified data back into the column.

The customer is on a 7.2 Cloud System.

@Matthias Wieland.
Why doesn’t Docuware choose to share information with other users?
Why does someone who asks a public (english) question get a private (german) answer? Good team spirit...

Please reinforce your community and your knowledge management. It can only be beneficial for us.
I have the same kind of problem with one of my customer, and it would be great if i can have those informations...
Best regards.

Hi Romain,

the answer from Matthias Wieland only said that he opened a support request for me - he probably sent it in German by accident or because he knows I am German.

The answer to support request was basically that there is no solution inside workflow manager yet.
So as a workaround I wrote a webservice which connects to the .NET API and can be called from the workflow and does the work I needed.

Hope this helps.

Dear Romain!

Thank you for your feedback, and sorry for the confusion caused. Simon is right, the forum system is using the contact language of the initiator of the thread independent of the forum where the question is posted. That's why this automatic post who tells the initiator that a Support Request was opened was in German this time.

Additionally, we reminded the colleagues to post the solution of the support request when it is closed in the forum too. This is a manual process at the moment and sometimes forgotten unfortunately.

One more time thanks for the feedback, we will work on improvements of these points for the future.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / With best regards,
