Hello,
I would like to implement this in a Docuware 7.2.0 Workflow

- show a Field where the user can insert a Text
- send this Text as Mail and the document as attachment
- the Server should send the mail, this to guarantee that the mail was sent.
- the sending of the mail should also be logged in docuware

Is this possible?

If docuware downloads the document to the client to send it from there, the user could simply not send the mail ( mistake,malice)

Hello,
It is possible to do this with a workflow in DocuWare 7.2, you would need a task activity and after this an email activity.
In the Task you need a Dialog (this is where the user can fill in the email body), this then needs to be assigned to a global variable. (It is also possible to add other fields here, such as the recipient or the subject).
Then these variables can be added to an email activity (please be aware that it is currently not possible to add line breaks in a text field, therefore everything within a variable will be displayed in one line). Here you can also decide whether the document is to be sent along as well.
As for documenting the emails, if the workflow runs into an error sending an email it will create a general error task with an error message for the workflow controller (it is also possible to connect the error exit to another task / other steps that the workflow will do if it runs into an error), this as well as if the email was sent successfully is all documented in the documents' history.
