Behavior:
While opening a document in the Viewer the following error is displayed: "You require an expanded viewer license“

Solution:
Check whether the following keys exist in the registry:

  • x86 systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DocuWare\Common
  • x64 systems: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\DocuWare\Common

Within these keys the following strings (type "REG_SZ") should exist:

  • OCR_path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\DocuWare\OCR\
  • VCET_path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\DocuWare\VCET\
  • Stellent_path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\DocuWare\Stellent\

If one of these entries is missing, please add it.

Test whether it is possible to displayed the documents, now.

If the previous steps did not solve the problem, proceed with the following steps, please:
Does the file "libpng.dll" exist in the folder %WINDIR%/System32. This file may prevent the file "libpng.dll" from the DocuWare folder "VCET" to be used. Therefore please rename it in the folder %WINDIR%\System32 or move it from there and try it again.
