Any links referenced to KB Articles in posts older that result in an error are because they are links to the old FAQ site.
The Silent Installation article can be found in the Support Cockpit > Knowledge Base.

  • RE: DW7 - Fujitsu Scanner - ISIS Driver

ISIS drivers have not been supported since we retired the DocuWare Windows Client. Only WIA and TWAIN are supported.

  • RE: Unexpected Select List Behavior

    Josef,
I think it is worthy of a feature request. The worst that can happen is that they come back with a technical reason why it can't be done.
Out of interest, did you try it with the field locked but visible?

  • RE: Unexpected Select List Behavior

    Josef,
The filtering requires that all fields to be filtered are shown on the dialog as the value is taken from the dialog. Have you tried to lock the field instead of removing it?

  • RE: Full Text Search with FC Index Profiles: performance problem

Assuming you are using Microsoft SQL Server, see this article.
    https://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/5573/creating-indexes-with-sql-server-management-studio/

In particular, see the section on creating a  non-clustered index.

  • RE: Full Text Search with FC Index Profiles: performance problem

    Sabino,
Try adding a database index to the field or fields that the index filter uses. On large file cabinets correct database indexes are a must to ensure best performance.

  • RE: IIS redirect of the RO website

Keeping in mind that the first part of the URL is either the machine name, a qualified internet address, or an IP address you cannot use "docuware.read" unless you install platform Read only on a machine called "docuware.read". This is because both the full licensed version and the read only version reside on the same machine.
Better would be to use some form of IIS redirection. So the user will enter http://machine name/DWRead or something like that, and IIS can then redirect to the correct read only URL.
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/iis/configuration/system.webserver/httpredirect/
Using redirect you do not interfere with DocuWare's internal structures.

  • RE: Docuware Request temp path

    Sabino,
Ok. I am thinking it is writing to the System Storage path first. So here's what you need to do:

Create a new storage location for the system on a drive with sufficient space. Create a 2 level directory:
    DocuWare \ SystemStorage

Stop all DocuWare Services except for Authentication Server.
Log in to DocuWare Administration and navigate to DocuWare System > General.
There you will see the entry "System storage path".
Browse to your new system storage path and select it.
    Apply the changes.
Log out of the Admin program and restart all DocuWare services including Authentication Server.
    Perform an IIS Reset.
Check that the new System Storage path is being written to. (I expect that the system should create some folders).
Log in to DocuWare and check that everything is running normally, then try a Request job.

  • RE: Docuware Request temp path

In the DocuWare Administration program, go to Storage locations and create  a new storage location using a UNC path. Only check the Request box. In the other storage locations un-check Request. Apply the settings. Now in configurations for request, the new storage path should be available.

  • RE: v7 On prem Intelligent Indexing reset

    Kim,
It is going to depend on whether you have a local installation of Intelligent Indexing, or you have the SaaS version. I think that the best step is to open a support request so we can look at the issue with you.
