Splitting with IDP (Natif.ai) before or after storing in DocuWare

IDP can split documents intelligently during capture ands Storage Robot can also be useful during capture.  On the other hand, can splitting be done using a workflow and calls to IDP on previously stored documents already in DocuWare?
