RE: Notifications
Edward, what josef is saying is to just create a new field within the file cabinet your are using for notification and call it say APuser or UserNotify. Then just have that field filled in with the users name or username that should be notified. Then in the notification you can just say if the Field = APuser/UserNotify then send the notification. -
RE: Attaching the document in a Workflow email task
There isn't I brought this up a couple years ago and was told it is by design... Can't believe they haven't fixed this, though. -
RE: Mass reassign for workflow tasks

RE: Digital signatures
Have been trying to figure this out for a long time. I don't think there is a way right now. I am following too! -
When do .DWX files get created?
noticed on another system running 7.0 that not all the files in the storage location have DWX files with them. When do these get created? The customer also said some didn't and then on a particular day they showed up for some files. -
RE: How to define when to be notified about upcoming tasks?
you will need to combine auto index with notifications. Just have multiple AI jobs that run and look for certain statuses. Say 5 day, 10 day, 15, day 25 day. Just have AI change the status to 5 Day Warning. Then have the 10 Day AI run only look for documents who read 5 Day and so forth.. hope this make sense. Then create notifications for the user and then the status warnings. -
Multi Cabinet Search and Editing Indexes
Running DocuWare version 7 and when users do a multi cabinet search, it doesn't let them edit index entries. Is this by design? If they want to edit, they then have to go to the direct search dialog for that cabinet and edit the index entries. -
RE: DocuWare Request on 6.7a
Figured it out. It needs to be a share path even though its on the same server on the local drive. Changed from E:\DW Request to \\docuware\DW Request and it now recognizes the location.

DocuWare Request on 6.7a
Trying to create a docuware request on a system running 6.7a. I went into the admin tool, created a storage location and check marked request and browsed to the folder path. applied and created the storage location. When I go into settingsui I still get the message saying to create a request storage location using Ftp or unc path.... what gives? I have tried restarting IIS and such with no luck. -
how to find metadata from the dwx file in storage location
I noticed that some files in the cabinet have xml files that show the database information but some files just have a dwx file along with it. Did not having the xml change and if so, what version? How does the dwx work? How do I find the information that the xml would normally have?
