Additional Information:
An ODBC file cabinet can be opened in any version of DocuWare. DocuWare 5 thick client (Windows client) is a hybrid version that can act like a DocuWare 4 client. In other words, you can register or create any DocuWare 4 ODBC file cabinet with a DocuWare 5.x thick client. This will facilitate the conversion from DocuWare 4 ODBC type file cabinet to any version of DocuWare 5/6.x.

  • This chart seems to conflict with another graphic on your site stating that any version from 6.7 or higher can update directly to version 7.

Is there a definitive article for upgrade paths?  We are currently on version 6.10 and would like to update to a more recent version.

  • If the asterisk indicates 'recommended update path', does that mean we can update directly to that version? For instance, can we update from v7.6 directly to v7.8, skipping v7.7?
