Behavior:
You want to access an Oracle database version 8 or 9 for indexing your documents using autoindex. Direct access to the database via native connection is not possible because Docuware version 5.1c SP2 or higher requires the ODAC driver version 11. However, this driver is not compatible with these older ORACLE versions.
Solution:
In this case, access is only possible via ODBC.
Attention: Access to the database is problematic if both ORACLE ODAC version 10 G and version 11 are installed on the DocWare server. The error message when testing the ODBC connection in DocuWare is: "ORA-03134 Connections with this server version are no longer supported. Please uninstall the ODAC driver of version 11 and restart the server."
