We are looking for suggestions on how to best include non DocuWare users in workflows.
The client uses DocuWare on-premise with Import, SmartConnect, Workflow Manager and AutoIndex. A Cloud subscription may be added if justified and to introduce C2Mail and Forms.
A few rough ideas:
1-have the email user type Approve or Reject on the Subject line and forward to an email address. This will be received by Connect to Mail and used by AutoIndex to indicate the decision in the correct field and the workflow will continue accordingly.
2- have the user forward the email to either email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org with any comments. The address determines what the decision is and the workflow can take it from there.
3-include links in the email text for Approve or Reject. What exactly to include is the question.
4-include a link to a DocuWare Form that simply allows to enter Approve or Reject and comments, but this would somehow need to be tied to the transaction being approved or rejected. Can parameters be passed to an online form in an URL so it prefills fields?
Any suggestions or additional ideas will be welcome.
Hello, all. A prospective client would like to replace its old systems, including one that handles reports (COLD/ERM), and is considering DocuWare. Since that module is no longer available, can anyone recommend a solution to coexist and perhaps integrate with DocuWare?
This is a two-part question. 1 - Can admins determine which tray is the default for a user? This can be useful to find import failures and other documents. 2 - Most users are created without default Inboxes but then we might determine that a particular user really needs a default tray for imports and printing. Can a tray be assigned after a user account has been in use?
DocuWare 7.2 offers integration in a workflow using Validated ID, a cloud digital signature service. We have discussed this but not yet tested it.
Hello, Mihir. Do you have any new information about connecting to SharePoint Online? A client of ours wants to transfer documents from DW Cloud to SP Online once they have completed a workflow in DW. The idea is to have all customer documents in SP Online, where documents arrive from their CRM and various other applications. We could arrange for custom programming if that is available.

Hello, David. This post does not really answer your question, which I found when searching for AX. The validation you mention is a link to a custom routine and examples are found here: https://github.com/DocuWare/Validation-NodeJS-samples
I am interested in migrating a client's data from AX to DocuWare. Autoindex is available, so that is a good alternative. I am not familiar with AX. How can the data and images be exported? Did you use a tool or custom programming? Any guidance will be appreciated.
Is there a summary of upgrade paths up to version 7 like this one for 6.11?
or this one for version 6.12?
We need to upgrage a version 6.0 system and it is not clear if we should go to 6.7, 6.8 or 6.9 first and then 7. Perhaps it does not make a difference between those three versions. The client uses MySQL. I understand a database upgrade to MySQL V2 is manual, not automatic. Can the database be left as is (MySQL 5.6) or does it have to be upgraded at some point? Thanks.
In the situation described here by Misha Guth, I can turn off the annotations and stamps added by workflow tasks, but only as an administrator. I cannot find what settings to adjust in order for authorized users to turn off the overlays in order to be ablto to read documents with a lot of stamp text on them. This is on Cloud version 7. Thanks in advance.
