Import CD Request-1522330386

A customer is purchasing a new on premises Business Server and has about 12 old CD Request CDs that need to be imported. Does anyone have any best practice advice on how this can be done, or know of an FAQ with instructions?

Unfortunately, importing DocuWare Request cabinets only works between equal versions of DocuWare. They are still usable as standalone archives, however.

You cannot import DocuWare 4 or 5 CD Request documents in to DocuWare 6.12.
This will need to be done manually in a similar fashion from moving from a DocuWare 4 system to a DocuWare 6.12 system. Since there are no internal index values in a DocuWare 6.12 system, the header records of the CD Request disks cannot be read in. So the documents have to be brought in using an interim DocuWare version, and it is a completely manual operation.
