File connections

Hi, I'm trying to create a new file connection on my recently provisioned cloud server, but it is throwing me an error with the storage location.

Where can I add a default storage for this instance?

To get File connection to work in the cloud you need to install the desktop apps for LOCAL DATA CONNECTOR on a computer that will not be turned off since it will always be needed.  Once you do this and set up the connection, you will be able to select it in the cloud config.

 

That is not entirely correct. A file connection in the Cloud can only be made to the Cloud FTP site which is provided for each organization.
The Local Data Connector (LDC) can only connect to supported database engines (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle).

If assistance is required on sending files to the FTP site for Cloud then please open a support request.
