• Case Sensitive Select List Lookup

*****I'm not referring to DW not accepting a value in a select list only field that does not match the case of the value on the select list.  I've seen other threads on this, but that is not my issue.******

I'm reffering to the in field search for a select list value being case sensitive.  We have a vendor list of 13k names.  Users may only know part of the name.  Let's say the vendor name is BROOKLYN HEIGHTS PAINT.  My user may type *brooklyn. For the past 6 years this would bring up the vendor mentioned, they would select that value (not what they typed to search for the value, they would select the value that is displayed from the select list).

However, I recently set up a new select list where typing *brooklyn to search for BROOKLYN does not work. When I inquired with DW, I'm being told the select list search was always case sensitive, even though it has never been for us in our experience.

Can someone clarify?  The select list type for both the working select lists which are not case sensitive and the new one that only has a case sensitive lookup, is external.  There is no difference in the config.

In the image below I am showing it working and not working.

  • I ran the same test and this

I ran the same test and this behavior does not happen for my users - 6.12.0.766 on prem.  In my test I asked a user to login then minimize their browser window.  The "License in use till" marker kept adjusting, indefinately.  Is there a setting?

  • License Management

Users can occupy a license indefinately by logging into to DocuWare and leaving there browser tab open, even if they remain inactive. When will there be a way to set a real inactivity?  Or perhaps the ability to prompt a user from the admmin - you've been inactive for however long, you will be logged off in 5 minutes - click here to continue - or something to that affect?  Or boot users out.  Or even email or prompt logged in users from the admin.  Anything.

We just purchased additional licenses, and this will cause us to pruchase more that we perhaps do not need.  Is this by design.  Please advise.

  • Get values for Select List from a Microsoft NAV table using a web service

If I want to connect to a table in Microsoft NAV to fetch values for a Select List in DocuWare, I first need to create a web service on the NAV side and connect teh Select List to the web service using some type of a call out, correct?  Where can I get more details on this?

  • Disable Profile Prompt

We use Windows authentication.  We do not want our users prompted to complete their profile.  You should be able to disable this feature.  You should also be able to diable the tutorial prompt.  With such a configurable appllication the inability to do this seems strange.

  • Automatically send a notification, reminder every 48hrs

In Notifications, is there a way to send a reminder notification every 48 hours after the first notification is sent.  I can create a workflow with the same criteria as the notification, and run that workflow every 48 hours, making it "modify" some value to initiate the notification again (notification rerun on modification).  This is a tedious workaround. Is there an easier way?
