Question:
Is there a way to restrict user's access to modify index fields with Stamps?

Answer:
By product design, the option to create Stamps will always be available as all DocuWare users are given the right to create personal stamps by default. It is possible to remove a user's ability to configure Public Stamps by unchecking the option to 'Configure Stamps' in the User Management plugin for the desired user. However, enabling this option will still allow them to set personal stamps which by default can change/override an index field value.

Alternatively, you can remove the user's ability to set stamps by configuring a Custom Profile that restricts the user's right to place a public or personal stamp. Please refer to the following guide on how this can be achieved;

1. From the desired file cabinet, select the Permissions tab, then enable "Advanced Permissions"

2. Select the Custom Profiles tab, then click the "+" symbol to create a new custom profile.

3. Name the custom profile, and add the appropriate permissions to your desired preference using the File cabinet tab. To completely remove a user's ability to add stamps to documents, the 'Set stamps' option must not be selected.

4. Now that the custom profile has been created, select the Users icon and add the users to this profile.

5. Afterwards, remove these users from the Edit Standard Profile as seen below:

6. Refresh the Web Client, and the users who have been added to the custom profile and removed from the standard profile
are no longer able to stamp documents in DocuWare.
