Behavior:
You are unable to connect to your Local Data Connecter Data Source due to the stored credentials being lost. Within the LocalDataConnector log, you encounter an error stating “LocalDataConnector.Services.IdentityService.Exceptions.InvalidGrantException: invalid_grant”

 

Solution:
This error typically occurs when the credentials of a user are no longer valid due to a change. The actions listed below could be the cause of the credentials no longer being valid.

The user:

  • User resets or changes password
  • User has been deactivated
  • User changed their e-mail address
  • User changed their username
  • Used "Profile & Settings" > "Security" > "Applications using your account" > Revoke
Note: The DocuWare user synchronization can also cause these changes.

Restarting the Local Data Connector and re-entering the credentials should resolve the error.
