Pass Windows Authentication IIS

We setup an internal DNS register to take the URL docuware.[domain].com to our new DW server and while this works to get to the login page when we select "Windows Account" and click login we get the "Window Security" popup login screen.
But if I go to the server address directly and do the same thing it lets me in no problem.
I keep looking into the IIS setting to pass windows credentials through but obviously I'm missing something.
Our new DW environment is internal so you can't get it through the docuware.[domain].com url.
Any thoughts?

For Chrome and Edge, I'm sure there is a similar article, but I cannot find it.
If I recall correcty, You use the old "Internet Options" dialog o windows (Security tab) to add whatever address the client is supposed to use to reach the docuware server to "local intranet".
