Add data to webform

My client has a Web form not a Merge Form that they would like to fill one piece of data.  The workflow we have builds a Claim Number and they want that on the form.  Is there any way to do this?  Maybe Workflow assigns a stamp in the claim number field on the form.  Can Workflow stamp a Webform?  If so how?

Web forms do not have any fields which can be filled, you need to use merge forms for that.
But stamps can be placed on any document, as long as it is not a data record.
Workflow can stamp a document automatically in recent versions using the WebService activity with the Platform API (built-in).
