Solution:
If you are running into this behavior, please change the following parameter in the file of the DocuWare Desktop:
C:\Programme (x86)\DocuWare\Desktop\DocuWare.Desktop.exe.config (This file can be found on every client/server where DocuWare Desktop is installed):

<add key="PrintEngine" value="2b"/>
Change this parameter to 2 or 1 (allowed values : "1" for engine of DW up to 6.6 and "2" for engine of version 6.7).

After you changed the parameter you have to restart the DocuWare Desktop Service and also the DocuWare Desktop Apps.
