Behavior:
When attempting to capture a new application screen for your smart index configuration, the operation instantly fails with the following error;
"Connect application failed. Try again and select a different recognition technology."
Solution:
Please refer to the following guide to resolve this issue;
- In Windows, open the control panel and select "Network and Internet"
Note: This option may no longer be present depending on your Windows version. Please proceed from step 2. - Next, select "Internet options"
- In the Security tab, select Local intranet, then "Sites."
- Enable "Automatically Detect intranet network". After this has been enabled, click-on "Advanced."
- Add your DocuWare URL along with the following loop back address http://127.0.0.1 & https://127.0.0.1
- Lastly, restart your DocuWare desktop application and service then reattempt the operation, which should succeed without error.
