• RE: AutoIndex - when does write back occurr

    Simon, Thanks for your reply.

Do you think I am correct to be concerned? There will be multiple entries in Cabinet A for each found in Cabinet B, that need to be updated. I want to make sure that I get them all. If the write back occurs after the first match is found, will that filter out the source entry from making further matches?
  • AutoIndex - when does write back occurr

An AutoIndex job is configured to update a field in a File Cabinet (Cabinet A) based on a match in the source, also a file cabinet (Cabinet B). The source is the shorter list so it is the first read. Both file cabinets have numerous records and the job takes a long time to complete.

To shorten the time the configuration is filtering the source, Cabinet B, on a field value. There are multiple matches in Cabinet A for each record in Cabinet B. The write back updates the same field in Cabinet B that is used for the filter to prepare for the next run.

Can I assume that the write back will occur after all of the matches in Cabinet A are found and updated? If the write back occurs after the first match is found, would that filter out the record in the source Cabinet so that the remaining matches would be skipped?

    Thanks,
  • MSMQ reset

A busy production system with many AutoIndex jobs running during the day and evening and over 100 users - v7.3 - on premises.

Trying to display the results of any AutoIndex job produces an error "The settings you are searching for could not be found", and "An error has occurred". The main page reports that there are no AI jobs configured and instructs me to configure them in the DocuWare Administration. Again, this is version 7.3.

Tech support advises to clear the Message Queue. To run the Message Queue Administration I must stop all servers and IIS. This means I can only do this work after 10:00 pm, as the system is so busy. This does seem to alleviate the problem, but only until the next day when I try again.

Can anyone say what causes the MSMQ to need to be reset? Is it simply the number of users and processes is so high? Is there another way to streamline the system to prevent this?

    Any clues appreciated.

    Many thanks,
  • Data usage in Cloud System

A Cloud system user has received a notification that the storage is now at 95% and will run out soon. I have seen the Status item in the Product Overview section and confirmed this.

However, in order to make a recommendation as to how much more storage the customer should obtain, I would need some more detailed statistics, such as number of documents/month or GB used per month, as an example.

Are there more detailed statistics about data usage in cloud systems available?

    Thanks,
  • Finding users in the Database

A customer with an on premises system and a site license and many users would like to see how many of the users are actually active and using DocuWare. Does anyone have or know of an SQL query that would list all of the users from the database along with their last login date?

Current version is 6.12 on premises using MS SQL.

Any other suggestions or methods of accomplishing this are appreciated as well.

    Thanks,

  • Version 7.4 on premises system requirements

In some documentation it states that Windows Server 2012 is no longer supported in version 7.4. in other documentations it states that Server 2012 is supported for clients only, not servers, but this restriction is not listed for Server 2012 R2.

I have a customer running v6.12 on Windows Server 2012 R2 on premises. Can this system be upgraded to v7.4 without changing or upgrading to a newer version of Windows?

    Thanks,
  • user deleted with workflow tasks still assigned

A user was deleted with workflow tasks still assigned. The task threw an error and an email was received by all of the workflow's controllers, and the task assigned to them. This seems perfectly logical and I assume this is the default behavior.

However, some other users also received this same email, who are not controllers in this workflow. End user reporting this issue is using v7.1. I have looked through the Minor Update docs but see no mention of this as a bug that has been fixed.

Has anyone else heard of this behavior?

    Thanks,
  • User Conference videos

Are there any recordings of the sessions from the May 2021 user conference available for end users who missed the conference?
  • Updating a second document

Is it possible now, in version 7.4, to update a document in a second file cabinet, from a workflow?

That is, finding the PO in the PO File Cabinet, for an invoice in the Invoice File Cabinet for example, and then changing the status of the PO to 'Invoice Received' (or the like) from the Invoice workflow?

    Thanks,
  • Workflow License permissions

Does a user assigned a Workflow license have the ability to Clip a document to another document within a workflow task?

Can a user assigned to a Workflow License fill out and store a Form that then triggers a workflow?
