Behavior: 
You encounter the folllowing error when searching for a document within the DocuWare web client. ERROR: Couldn't retrieve discovery document: Issuer name does not match authority: https://servername/docuware/identity
 


 

Solution: 
The behavior you're experiencing is likely due to an old or incorrect value for which the SSL certificate does not apply. To address this, please follow the following steps: 

  1. Navigate to the path %programdata%/docuware/serverconfig where you will find a file named dwmachine.config. 
     
  2. Open this file and locate the values LocalWebService and AuthorityAddress.
     
  3. If these values are incorrect, update the URL(s) as necessary. 
     
  4. After making these adjustments, you will need to conduct an IIS reset. For detailed instructions on how to correctly restart the IIS, please refer to KBA-34532
