• Expiired Workflow Link

    Michael,
Interesting. Can you check if the task is still in the users list? If not, check the workflow design and look at the overdue task section and see what it is designed to do when the task becomes overdue. Chances are it was sent on to someone else.
    Let me know either way.

  • Expired Workflow link.

    Michael,
While I am not totally sure of this behavior, it would seem to me that if the user went on vacation after the task was in their list, and the task was subsequently acted on by another user, then clicking on the email link after the task has moved on would produce this message. Given that the email was generated when the task was valid it has no way of knowing that the task has been completed.

Also, did the user set their Out Of Office in DocuWare? If they do set their Out of Office, tasks will not be assigned to them for the duration.
Also, are you using substution lists?

  • Workflow start trigger.

    Joe,
The parameters New document or Changed index values are the basis for the trigger. So you can trigger on New documents only, Changed documents only, or New and Changed documents.
So that's the first part. Now you must specify an index value(s) to monitor. Suppose you have a file cabinet with Invoices, Purchase Orders and other miscellany in your cabinet and we simply triggered on New documents, but your workflow is for Invoices. You would end up with all other document types in your workflow that are not valid.
Therefore you must differentiate between documents that must start a workflow instance and those that should not. So you cannot just have a trigger based on the storage of a document.
    A typical trigger would be:

    New documents
    Index field Status = "New"
Index field Document Type = "Invoice"

  • Select List

    Callum,
Would not a multi-column select list work here? If you index on the company name, the list will return the list of supplier codes. If you index on the supplier code, it will return the single name.

  • Installing WFM

    Joe,
You can install a module on a hot system. No problem there. If you still have trouble please open a Support Request. My Install/ WF Team know exactly what they are doing.

  • OCE v Fulltext

Josef is quite right. Desktop OCR for indexing is seperate to Fulltext. Fulltext should index every page of the document.

  • Okta

DocuWare does not interface with any 3rd party security products at this time.

  • Fulltext.

    Nathan,
What documentation are you referring to? Fulltext does not have a page limit. Every page of a document will be fulltext indexed. Perhaps if I know what you have read I can clarify for you.

  • DocuWare Server distribution.

A DocuWare Professional Server License allow you to install the DocuWare Services on one machine only.
A DocuWare Enterprise license will allow you to install the DocuWare Services on two machines.
Therefore, to install DocuWare on 4 different servers, will require the customer to purchase 4 Enterprise Servers.
Simply installing a single Professional Server license on 4 machines would be a breach of the licensing agreement, and the servers will not be able to communicate with each other.

I suggest that you take the discussion up with your Regional Sales Director.

  • 6.8 to 6.12 Upgrade - Another thought

    David,
Please ensure that all transaction logs are truncated before starting. This for all databases where the recovery mode is set to "Full". The TRX logs will grow like topsy as DocuWare recreates tables, and if they are large to start with it can be a point of failure where MSSQL cannot respond in time. While checking TRX logs ensure that growth rates are set to a sensible value.
