server migration 7.1 to 7.2

Good day

It turns out that we will make a physical server change that is currently in v dw 7.1

to a more robust one which should have version dw 7.2 with the data workflows and forms of the previous one.

Therefore, I would like to know if there is a step-by-step procedure for this purpose that includes database and application migration.

you need to do this in two steps. Do the move first and the upgrade in a second step or vice-versa, it does not matter.

Just a quick question on this.... on almost the last step it says this
 

• Repeat the uninstall / reinstall steps on All DocuWare Frontend and Backend servers.

are you saying after you do all this you need to uninstall Docuware and then reinstall it? What is the point of this??
 

The point of it is that if you have multiple DocuWare Servers, the uninstall / re-install must be done on all the servers - not just one of them.
There are configuration files on each machine that must be created exactly the same across all machines. The uninstall/re-install ensures that these configuration files are created correctly, and that all relevant pointers are correct.
